Initial Assessment
75 minutesWe will spend the initial session getting to know each other. With your permission, this is where I’ll gather information on your health history and better understand what I can help with. We will discuss short and long term goals and establish a shared understanding of what you’re hoping to gain from our work together.
This will also be a good time to see if I’m a good fit. It’s important to find a health care provider that aligns with your needs.
Follow up sessions
50 minutesMy good friend and fellow eating disorder clinician once said to me: “It’s through relationships we heal.” Together, we’ll build a foundational relationship that helps create trust and safety to explore tough topics such as body image, food rules, food judgements and more.
Care Coordination/Caregiver sessions
50 minutes
Navigating eating disorder care can be tremendously overwhelming. The purpose of this call is to discuss your concerns for your loved ones so that I can assist with next steps and/or reassure you you’re on the right path. Whether this is connecting you to a support group, a treatment center, or your health care team, the point is for you not to feel alone in navigating next steps.
Meet Kelsey L. Rose, MPH, RDN
Hello! My name is Kelsey and I’m a weight-inclusive eating disorder and disordered eating dietitian. The most meaningful part of my job is creating connections with others.
As a registered dietitian, I trained in the most extensive eating disorder internship for dietitians, gaining experience at every level of care and receiving supervision from leaders in the field. Since then, I have served as a registered dietitian at major hospital systems, providing eating disorder services to individuals of all ages, genders, and diagnoses.
During my clinical work, it became clear to me that the work of supporting my patients was going to exist way beyond my office. For me, being an eating disorder clinician also means working on changing environments which perpetuate and normalize eating disorder behaviors and actively harm individuals wellbeing. Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of training future dietitians to have eating disorder literacy and worked alongside a team making systemic changes to health education in public schools in Vermont and beyond.
Since starting this work almost a decade ago, I’ve learned so much. I am committed to continuing to learn to support you on your journey, whatever that might look like. I look forward to meeting you!
